The restoration of the Lanphear Livery Stable was completed in 2016 to designs by Jack Evans of NewPort Architecture, LLC. Collaborating on the project were architects Mohamad Farzan and Dorienne West Farzan of NewPort Architecture. Rich Youngken of Youngken Associates provided historic preservation consulting services. GNCB engineers provided structural engineering. Northeast Engineers provided environmental engineering. Project construction was undertaken and coordinated by Joe Pariseault and Gary Jennings of Pariseault Builders. The building lift was accomplished by Kettelle Building Movers. Ted Wetherill provided overall project management.
Inspiration for the project came from Frederick B. Whittemore, Chaplin B. Barnes, H. Brian Thompson, Charles M. Royce, Grant G. Simmons, III, and Nicholas Moore, among many others in the Watch Hill community.
